Beijing Jinyu Vanke Plaza Retail by LDPi (China Branch) The Beijing Jinyu Vanke Plaza is a new shopping center in the city’s northwestern district of Changping, home to the Ming Dynasty Tombs. The 140,000 m2 mall, from developer Vanke, aims to bring international style to this up-and-coming area. It includes a department store, supermarket, entertainment facilities, restaurants and other services. The shopping center’s architecture, designed by Woods Bagot, is characterized by sweeping curves and a neutral color palette. It incorporates as much daylight as possible, with a long organic shaped skylight over the main atrium.

New Century Resort Ningbo Shiqifang Hotel by LDPi (China Branch) The New Century Resort Ningbo Shiqifang hotel lies in Xiepu, a small coastal town in the Zhenhai District of Ningbo, China. Covering an area of 50,000 m2, it was built on an ancient architectural complex named Zhengshi Shiqifang and has a building area of about 40,000 m2 with 6 guestroom sections and 116 guestrooms. Being the largest and most intact ancient architectural community of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China with Ma Tau wallwatts, traditional Chinese courtyards, ancestral halls, opera stages, stone alleys and old houses, this complex is a cultural treasure of the Zhejiang Province.

xian skp Shopping Center by LDPi (China Branch) Xian SKP is the renovation of the former provincial Cultural Center of Shaanxi into an iconic shopping center located at the Yongning gate of Xian, starting point of the ancient Silk Road. For this client, it's a new start where the architect and interior designers created lines and curves that reflect the identity of the client and spread around and within the 19 storey 164,779 m2 tower A and 6 storey 72,268 m2 tower B. Lighting welcomes guests to experience both a focus on the retail products and a revelation of all the key elements that makes this building unique.

Sales Center by LDPi (China Branch)

tianjin vanke jade avenue sales office Sales Center by LDPi (China Branch) Yet small with its two entrances and three distinct layers of arches that differ by depth, height and width, the Tianjin Vanke Jade Avenue Sales Center, located in the Qingxi district of Tianjin, China, was treated, from a lighting point of view, as a key project by taking advantage of the waterscape to virtually double its volume with a simple and functional lighting design which ensures that visitors are welcome in a space that has the potential to become part of their future housing compound.

Central One Park Residence by LDPi (China Branch) This residence is located in one of Zhengzhou commercial economic area next to the scenic Beilonghu lake adjacent to the Ruyiyunhe in the West, the Central Business District in the South and the Central Business District International Finance Center in North. The lighting design uses as its base the grid lines from the "Rites of Zhou" merged into the architectural and landscape of this residence to create a choreography between light and shadow that divulge the characteristics of Chinese architecture.

Vanke Plaza Shopping Center by LDPi (China Branch) This Tianjin Vanke Plaza Jiuong Road is located in the Hexi district of Tianjin, China on the North of the People's Park and Southeast of the Five Avenue historical district. Its surrounding includes government offices, residential compounds and the Tianjin Foreign Studies University. New copper panels and glass curtain wall allowing natural light and visibility in and out of the shopping mall complement the white panels of the facade which in a way still refer the local Century Mart supermarket prior to its renovation.

Canopy by Hilton Hotel by LDPi (China Branch) The canopy Chengdu City Center is centrally located at the Tianfu Square. Local cultural elements welcome guests throughout the hotel (Sichuan opera, book cabinets, tea culture, spicy food, architecture...). The lighting design is not only functional, but also focuses on these cultural elements as to make guests feel comfortable in this glocal hotel.

Canopy by Hilton Hotel by LDPi (China Branch) As with each Canopy, the one in Hangzhou Jinsha lake is also a glocalized lifestyle hotel within Hilton's portfolio integrating simple service and local culture. As with Asia's first hotel of this brand in Chengdu, the lighting design intent also aimed to reveal the local elements found within the hotel as well as the iconic and unique canopy bed frame of the guestrooms.

Bookstore by LDPi (China Branch)

Pageone Wudaokou Bookstore by LDPi (China Branch) The Pageone Wudaokou bookstore is located in the Haidian district of Beijing. It is an independent construction next to the Wudaokou station of the subway line 13. The modern and irregular polyhedron facade is a composition of panels with different dimensions and shapes that mainly wrap up the second floor. The interior space is divided into high bookshelves and low book stands. The lighting design takes advantage of the light colored materials to welcome guests in a relaxed atmosphere where they can, under a warm and soft lighting, immerse themselves into an ocean of words.

Office and Retail by LDPi (China Branch)

Xuelian Liangdian Office and Retail by LDPi (China Branch) Beijing Xuelian Liangdian Dongsi Creative Park is located Southwest of the intersection between Chaoyangmen Inner Street and Dongsi South Street next to the Dongsi subway lines, only 3.5 km away from the Tiananmen Square. Like other buildings within the 2nd ring road, its height is below 45 meters. It was a textile shopping mall called Sanyou that opened in 1985 and in 1989, it was Beijing’s largest with 1500 m². In March 2020, started a makeover to transform it into an office, small retail and cultural space with a unique theater, roof gardens and exhibition areas.
